being a user of gTalk when I can't run the SL client , I do not dislike the idea of a browser based solution for a chat experience moving closer to the SL's one.
Of course the richness of the experiences one can live in SL is something totally different
I do believe than creativity is the prime mover behind SL, whether it is expressed by terraforming, building, reading poetry or just shopping, to be creative on one's own look.
Despite all the issues the LL have, any potential SL killer has still a long way to go
