As people probably know I've been asking everyone to vote up Marvs http jira. The purpose of this JIRA is to allow LSL scripts to receive data in any format that is carried by plain text. This is to allow data to get into the Second Life World™. The immediate desire is to have the ability to twitter with a generic gadget not tied to someone's intermediate server.
However, this would also include things like RSS feeds, various website APIs and so on.
We kept getting told this was the "metaverse" well meta is about about. That is data about data, or acting about acting. We need to be able to get data to have the about.
