Hello Oona, welcome to Second Life.

No, I refused to use the word "slogosphere," that I heard during the week. Refuse. Blog is a word that is ugly enough.

  1. There are bunch of words invented to support media hype aroung second life. It make sense for some terms that are specific to virtual worlds (lesbimen comes to mind, where else you can meet male lesbian) but inventing a new word for a blog that is related to SL is just nonsense. And yes, it is ugly.

  2. I don't know, I think some women are gay men in women's bodies, and some men are lesbians in men's bodies rl.

Maybe sl is just a place where people can be that.

  3. Oh, don't get me wrong, I don't have nothing about gender-bending and all the strange combinations that can came out of it. On one side, it is opportunity for some people to be (at least virtualy) what they feel they are. On the other, it is ok to experiment. Wanking in opposite sex' body can be a great experience and a way to get to know each other mmuch better.
