Map functionality down for me

Another awful day on the grid with money being intermittently inaccessible, immense lag, and map a blank blue screen.

  1. Map down, profiles down, search down, TP down, IM down, properties down, inventory patially down, transfer of non-copy objects dangerous, Linden$ balance down... Major f***up today!

  2. I just wish my AO would work... I'm happy with the sim I'm in... I can live without profiles or search... But I look so darn silly when I walk... And none of my AO's will work.. >_>

  3. My walk replacing shoes work. The AO does not.

  4. So far I have lost a very expensive couch, I can't tp, I can't search and I can't transfer anything. I would stay off sl and use this time as a vacation, but I have an new Island to terraform, an escort club to finish, a house to furnish and rental units to create.

It would be faster to paint the images on my monitor with a brush.

  5. ay to quietly work on projects with SL basically at a stand still, but the asset server keeps not saving scripts.

  6. llOwnerSay is not working for me either. If the various communications systems are down, then why do they even have the grid up?

  7. Is the grid now a live test bed to see if the Lindens can stabalize the system? Best just sit this one out.

I just read this: "The Patriotic Nigras (or someone claiming to be them - honestly, it's all so childish that it's hard to tell - most griefer groups spend more time wailing on each-other than anything else) have used a form of a privilege escalation exploit on a number of objects around the grid to overload the communications systems."

  8. This is what I have been hearing all day, that it centers around using llDialog and llOwnerSay to flood the communications system.

Whether this is the case, or someone's wild speculation, I don't know. But yes, this is an admission that SL is, essentially, beta software that we are paying a great deal to test.
