This is within 2 minutes of my logging in.
I don't think I need to comment on what happens to voice as a feature when every female on sl finds out she needs to wade through voice spam every time she logs in.
Ut-oh, I have yet to hear anyone on SL voice chat, I stopped using First Look and went back to the Normal Second Life.
ReplyDeleteI think of how many times I have had a remark queued up in chat or IM and erased it, because it didn't pass my editorial muster, because it wasn't as funny as I thought it was before seeing it, because the moment had passed, because someone just covered that territory, because I was being some sort of resentful mule, or--most crucially--because my bedmate just emoted something that would make my remark inappropriate, physically impossible, or the wrong kind of funny.
ReplyDeleteI think of the great relationships in history that have come from correspondence--I have yet to be convinced that the same would have occurred over the phone.
