I don't follow baseball. I don't know why people seem to be so down on Barry Bonds. But he has gotten to where he is, and he has done what he has had to do. I hope he puts his name on the record books, for however long he has it, and can smile and tell everyone that he did it his way.
For at least a little while, we should all be on the side of this sorry moment in time having a piece of whatever kind of history trivia and boys' games affords, and have Everyone in America be a San Francisco Giants fan, even if only for a few at bats a game.
Best of luck Barry.
So cheating is OK? It's "what you have to do to win"?
ReplyDeleteHe's a lying, cheating scumbag. He shouldn't be allowed to play, and he certainly shouldn't be in any record books.
Even if they don't list it with a great big *, we'll all know it's there.
Long live the king.

Should Babe Ruth have an asterix next to his name because MLB barred players from the Negro Leagues from playing in his day?
ReplyDeleteNo.
ReplyDeleteBabe Ruth played within the rules of the game as they were at the time.
Bonds is a lying, cheating scumbag.
Big difference.
