Bimbo with Brains speaks up again

Someday I am going to start a group, Pixel Prostitute PhD.

It's going to have people like her in it:

We should raise our voices in a cacophony of violations against their new terms, forcing them to speak up or risk losing their ability to enforce their new terms. Imagine if they started to send out Cease and Desist letters - and we ignored them. Then they would be forced to act on their own policies and suspend people.

Yes, non violent non cooperation.

  1. Or maybe a "BD" for Doctor of Bimbology :) Philosophy is for dweebs with black turlenecks.

I'm much more in the Cynic camp than the Epicurean or Stoic, although I like the Stoic's repudiation of some of Aristotelean philosophy, the journey is the point, not the goal. The Epicureans and Stoics are too much into self denial for me. The Cynic's belief in the harmonizing of self with nature leading to happiness is in line with my own views.

While I lead a relatively Hedonistic lifestyle, my underlying beliefs and inability to push self over others all the time mean I'm more of a Utilitarian and wish to maximize "happiness" for everyone, sometimes at the cost of my own.

The above is a simplistic run-down of my philosophy and a basic caricature of some of the major classical schools - this is a blog comment after all :P But I'm much more into having fun and being happy than sitting around discussing the ultimate meaning of happiness and how I plan to achieve it.

Besides, black isn't my color, it washes out my complexion :)

I'm glad you are posting as well...

  2. Find? Was I ever lost?

I maintain that it was you who were lost in the "Wilderness of No Tiessa", a horrible place that no one should ever be subjected to. It should be abolished, or at the very least they should pave it over and put in better signs pointing to me.

I welcome you to the blissful heaven around me :)

Seriously though, I'm glad you enjoy my writing, I am very glad I discovered your blog yesterday in this whole strike business. I look forward to reading more of your writing as well.
