How to Opengrade back to the Nicholaz Client from 1.19

Open grading on the macintosh. Lost the old 1.18.5.3? Tired of crashes, asstatchments and assorted other thorny problems? Well 1.20 is better, in part because it seems that quietly ll is folding in Nichlaz changes, but until it is here and ready, the best thing to to is to opengrade back to the macintosh client. Here are the steps.

1. In your current client, Edit-> Preferences -> Network -> Clear Cache
   
2. Back up your current client, removing it from the Applications Folder.
   
3. Download 1.18.5.3.
   
4. Go to this page and download the mac patch.
   
5. Mount both dmg files. You may need to look in the location you download files to, or they may already be mounted as virtual disks.
   
6. Open the SecondLife virtual disk. Drag the hand to Applications.
   
7. Wait for copy to finish.
   
8. Open the Nicholaz virtual disk.
   
9. Double click on the patchSL application.
   
10. File-> Open
    
11. Navigate to the Application's folder
    
12. Select Choose
    
13. Wait for the dialog box saying that SL has been patched.
